CDL expects up to 5% growth in sales for Mother's Day

One of the most important dates of trade this first semester is approaching, and with it the optimism of retailers. According to the expectation of the House of shopkeepers – CDL Campina Grande The sales for Mother's Day should grow about 5% this year compared to the same period of 2017.

The estimate is that the average ticket should be around R $100 and in the list of most wanted gifts are still clothes, footwear, handbags and perfumes. However, the sectors of home appliances, electronics and furniture must also have a more intense movement in this period.

According to the president of CDL, Artur pellet, the increase in household consumption and other factors help explain the expectation of trade. "The decline in inflation, ends up releasing resources for other purchases. We also have an interest rate retreat that allows an increase in credit deadlines, which ends up helping consumption, "he explains.

Another reason declared by him is the emotional appeal of the date. "It is an important date and hardly a child leaves the mother without gifts. So the shopkeeper needs to stay tuned to enjoy it in the best possible way, with good promotions and performing a good service, "he says.
