The open pit Mall, defended several years ago by the House of shopkeepers-CDL Campina Grande, is close to becoming a reality. After a series of presentations and debates with the tenants of the central grid, Local that will be contemed with the project, the entities that represent the city trade receive the term of concession of the public space, signed by Mayor Romero Rodrigues, in Solemnity that takes place next Tuesday (07), at 09h30, in the auditorium of the CDL.
With the signature of the term, an area of about 192,000 m² in the city center, where more than 700 projects are installed, will be contemed with the implementation of "Vila Nova Shopping" and will receive several benefits in the sectors of safety, cleanliness, lighting , improvements in sidewalks and facades, as well as the creation of events to promote the site and attract consumers and tourists.
The President of CDL, Artur Almeida, celebrates the moment when the entities conquer the concession of the space for the installation of the Open Pit Mall. He recalls that the idea began to be discussed, in partnership with Sebrae and ACCG, when he was presiding over the entity for the first time in the year 2005.
According to the shopkeeper, the project was only not executed at the time because the city had completed the revitalization work of the town center recently and, as a result, few traders saw the need to create a condominium. "Virtually no need was seen because of the physical reform completed a few years earlier. Practically had no ambulants in the streets, the state of conservation of the sidewalks was good, besides the safety that was better and the flow of vehicles that was not so intense. In view of all this, traders thought it would be just an expense. " Reminded.
The costing of Vila Nova Shopping will be of the tenants themselves, from the creation of a condominium where the needs of the area will be discussed among entrepreneurs, as occurs in the conventional shopping centers.
