Brazil had created 35,457 positions of formal employment in August, according to data from the general registry of employees and Unemployed (caged) published on Thursday (21) by the Ministry of Labor. The balance in the month is the difference between admissions and demissions in the period. It is the fifth consecutive month of creating formal vacancies. The accumulated balance in the year is 163,417 vacancies.
In the opposite of the Brazilian market, the city of Campina Grande, the second largest economic force in the state of Paraíba, a bitter negative balance of 1,583 jobs closed throughout the year. Only in the month of August 337 people were unemployed in the city, according to caged data.
For the President of the Chamber of shopkeepers _cdl of Campina Grande, Artur Almeida (Pellet), it is necessary to take urgent action to the situation reverts. "We are going to meet what is already happening in the country, which is the resumption of the generation of jobs, and this much worries us, therefore, the extent to which the number of unemployed increases the economy of the city to and the consequence of this is that new demissions occur" Completed.
The concern of the shopkeeper has an aggravating factor. It is that the retail trade, which had been presenting positive numbers in the first months of the year, already accumulates nearly one hundred vacancies closed in the months of June to August, being the functions of salesman and cash operator the most fired.
Delinquency also worries
Another alarming finding is the growth of delinquency in the city's trade. According to the Credit protection Service (SPC Brazil), Campina Grande recorded an 18% increase in the number of delinquent consumers compared to the same period last year. From January to August 10,469 consumers acquired some debt against 8,883 in the same period of 2016.
"If we compare the data of the generation of jobs and delinquency in the first semester, we will realize that the demissions have contributed to the people being included in the Register of debtors," he stressed.
Temporary vacancies in smaller quantities
With the vicinity of the year-end period, the expectation of temporary hiring among professionals wishing to return to the labor market is increased. Some stores are already starting to receive resumes, but, according to the president of the CDL, these hires should only take place in the month of December.
"Traditionally the Campina Grande trade hires temporary employees for Christmas, but as has been occurring in recent years, these hires should be made timid and with the requirement of experience in the desired function," added Arthur.
