CDL Guides shopkeepers to comply with the law against sexual discrimination

 

CDL Campina Grande warns all its associates to comply with Law No. 10,895 sanctioned by Governor Ricardo Coutinho, on May 29, 2017, which obliges the commercial establishments and public agencies of the state of Paraíba to secure posters alerting On the Law No. 7.309/2003, which prohibits and punishes acts of discrimination by virtue of sexual orientation. The penalty for those who do not comply with the law exceeds the value of R $10000.

   The poster must contain the text "Discrimination for SEXUAL orientation is illegal and carries a fine. State Law no 7.309/2003 and Decree No 27.604/2006 ", have dimensions of at least 50 cm height by 50 cm wide and be fixed in a visible place, preferably in the area intended for the entry of customers and users of public services.

   In the event of failure to comply with the determination, the offender will have to pay a fine equivalent to 220 ufr-PB, which will be reverted to the rights protection bodies of the LGBT community. According to the website of the state revenue, in the quotation of May, the fine would have the value of R $10,269.60. In case of recurrence, the fine is doubled.
