Commerce of Campina Grande may open on the holiday of Corpus Christi

The Chamber of Shopkeepers (CDL) of Campina Grande informs that the trade of the Queen of Borborema may normally open on the holiday of 15 June (Corpus Christi). The opening is foreseen in the Collective Convention, which ensures the operation on any holidays, except on four dates: 1 January, 1 May, Day of trade and Christmas Day.

For the president of the CDL, Artur Pellet, the opening of the trade on the holiday of Corpus Christi is another opportunity for sales and business in this troubled moment of the Brazilian economy and also a way to meet those consumers who wish to make purchases to St. John.

"Store closed because of another holiday means damage right. As the holiday will fall on a Thursday and the closing breaks the sales sequence of the trade, the situation is even worse. We have to try to do our part to change the difficult situation we are facing, "said Artur.

If they choose to open the stores, entrepreneurs must pay each employee a allowance and offer a break according to the labor rights provided for in the collective bargaining agreement of the employees of the trade.
