The delinquency in the Campina Grande trade continues to increase over the months. In the first quarter of 2017, the growth of 15% was identified in the number of debtors compared to the same period last year.
According to data from the Credit protection Service (SPC Brazil) based on the report of the Chamber of Shopkeepers (CDL) of Campina Grande, the first months of the year were enough for 3,757 people to acquire some debt capable of fouling the name, being The month of March which presented the largest number of new indebtedness (1,734). In the same period of 2016 were 3,268 consumers defaulted and again the month of March was the one that recorded the highest percentage of debts (1,273).
According to the president of CDL, Artur Almeida (pellet), the increase in delinquency lights up a warning sign between tenants and is accompanied by several factors. For the leader shopkeepers, among the main reasons for the indebtedness are: the commitment of income, dismissal and difficulty to be rehired.
Another worrying and that may justify the increase in debts is that, according to the General registry of employees and Unemployed (caged), of the Ministry of Labor, Campina Grande opened only 78 new vacancies in January and February. In the same period of 2016, 480 vacancies were opened.
For Artur, despite the negative retrospect, the expectation is that the trade begins to show signs of improvement from the month of April "and this is important that it happens because so we will check the resumption of sales, the opening of jobs and Hence the recovery of the local economy, "he added.
The survey of indebtedness of the campinense consumer is carried out every month by CDL Campina Grande next to SPC Brazil.
